Boys basketball: Seton Catholic 72, Stevenson 65

Xavian Rushing had 21 points and 16 rebounds, including 10 points in the fourth quarter, as the Cougars pulled away to secure the No. 3 seed from the Trico League to next week’s district tournament.

Stevenson led 60-56 after three quarters before Rushing rallied the Cougars.

Luke Pitzer hit six 3-pointers to finish with 22 points. Gabe Anderson added 10 for Seton.

Jonathan Blackledge had 15 points, and Brady Hall and Bennett Wright added 13 each for Stevenson, which will advance to districts as the No. 4 seed.
