Letter: Herrera Beutler gives in to party

By Harold Lay, Vancouver
Published: February 12, 2020, 6:00am

When Jaime Herrera Beutler, R-Battle Ground, first got to Washington, D.C., she was doing what she was elected to do by actually representing her constituents. She voted not along party lines, but how she thought was best for the people of Southwest Washington. So much so, that the Clark County Republican Party was going to censure her for not supporting the party 100 percent. As time has passed, she’s fallen in line and is now no different than any other longtime politician and supports the party, no matter what.

Something happens when politicians get to D.C. Something bad.
