The Papermakers stayed alive thanks to a big third-quarter offensive outburst against Tahoma in the 4A bi-district loser-out game at Foss High School.

After leading by just 19-18 at halftime, Jenna Carlisle scored 12 of her 14 points in Camas’ 28-point third quarter.

Haylie Johnson made a 3-pointer early in the fourth quarter to extend the Papermakers’ lead to 50-34.

“We showed a ton of discipline in the second half handling Tahoma’s pressure defense,” Camas coach Scott Thompson said.

Thompson added that Camas turned the ball over 11 times in the first half, “but we came out in the third quarter and only had one turnover.”

Faith Bergstrom led Camas in scoring with 17 points.

The Papermakers (14-9) will now face 4A Greater St. Helens League foe Skyview on Tuesday. The winner earns a berth to the 4A state regionals.
