Letter: Church property is useful

I’m confused. According to the article “Heights District Commission to vote on plan today,” the city of Vancouver considers the Vancouver Heights United Methodist Church property to be “underused” (The Columbian, Feb. 11). But the accompanying photograph clearly shows it being used by trees actively producing oxygen for us to breathe. Is the city really saying that we need less trees or less oxygen?
