Decatur made a point of trying to keep Union’s Mason Oberg from scoring.

Oberg only scored three points, but the Union girls basketball team found another way to win.

With tough defense and solid inside play, the Titans beat Decatur 41-32 to advance to the 4A bi-district championship game.

Union will play Bellarmine or Todd Beamer at 4 p.m. Saturday at Puyallup High School.

Oberg’s only points came on a 3-pointer in the first quarter as Decatur led 10-8. But then the Titans shut out the Gators in the second quarter.

Sarah Litchford (10 points) and Mackenzie Lewis (eight points and nine rebounds) played well inside, and Abbey Kaip led the Titans with 12 points and seven rebounds.

Oberg added four steals and Lolo Weatherspoon had five assists.
