CAMAS-WASHOUGAL — The Camas-Washougal Fire Department is accepting applications for volunteer firefighters.

Applications are being accepted through Jan. 31, the fire department said in a news release.

Officials said volunteering is a great way to give back to the community or to earn valuable experience for a career in firefighting and emergency medical services.

People interested in volunteering should contact Battalion Chief Kevin Villines at 360-817-7989 or by email at kvillines@cityofcamas.us. More information about volunteering can also be found on the fire department’s website at www.cityofcamas.us/cwfire.
