The Chieftains struggled to find their shot and lost to Post Falls at the Coeur d’Alene Resort Invitational in Idaho.

Columbia River made just 31 percent of its field goal attempts, while Post Falls shot 63 percent from the field.

“That’s pretty tough,” River coach David Long said. “We just couldn’t shoot it.”

Michael Foust led River (3-3) with 12 points.

Post Falls placed third in Idaho’s 5A state tournament last season.

“They are definitely a state tournament-type of team,” Long said.

The Chieftains conclude play in the crossover event in Idaho against host Coeur d’Alene on Saturday.
