Letter: On another planet

By Walter Hill, Battle Ground
Published: January 12, 2020, 6:00am

After reading the paper recently, I am trying to figure out what galaxy in space Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler, R-Battle Ground, has been in the last few weeks.

She has indicated that all the testimonies given by career government individuals was hearsay. She has also refused to condemn any of the things he has done over the last three years.

Last election, she claimed to know what her constituents wanted, so she did not hold town hall meetings. I read she has claimed to have 50 town hall meetings, but not with a large group of people. Obviously, she doesn’t want to be confronted and have to answer many questions.

She is definitely in lockstep with Trump, as proven by her “no” vote on impeachment. I believe she is more concerned about keeping this position than doing her constitutional duty when she was sworn in to defend the Constitution and country. She has voted the way he wants because she doesn’t want to anger her boss and be called a “Never-Trumper.”

Everyone in Washington, D.C., who votes “no” on impeachment will be held responsible for what happens in the next 20 years.

Rep. Herrera Beutler is the “farce” and needs to go.
