Boys basketball: Columbia River 62, Woodland 37

Josh Kukula made seven 3-pointers, scoring 23 points to lead the Chieftains to a 2A Greater St. Helens League home win.

Kukula became the sixth different player to lead Columbia River (8-2, 5-0) in scoring this season.

“He’s been a little off and on this season, but we’ve never lost faith in him,” said River coach David Long. “He’s a streak shooter and when he’s hot, he’s really good.”

Marc Miranda had nine rebounds to go along with eight points. Nate Snook stood out on defense, holding Woodland’s leading scorer Isaiah Flanagan to 11 points.
