Letter: Talented photojournalists

Congratulations to Columbian photographers Nathan Howard, Alisha Jucevic and Photo Editor Amanda Cowan on their recent awards for the 2019 Associated Press Northwest photo contest (“Columbian staffers win award for photojournalism,” The Columbian, Jan. 14). I always knew that I was seeing photos that were a cut above other newspapers that I’ve read. The Columbian photographers all bring life to the stories they are shooting. And they do it with a fresh creativity and outlook that we, as readers, get to enjoy on a (well almost, now) daily basis. We are very fortunate to have these great photographers choosing to work here at our local newspaper. Congratulations to you all and keep up the excellent work. It is noticed.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
