Three games in six days took their toll on the Clark College men’s and women’s basketball teams as they went 0-3 against NWAC South opponents.
The lastest losses came Saturday against Lane at the O’Connell Sports Center in Vancouver.
MEN: LANE 73, AT CLARK 54 — The Penguins shot just 35 percent from the floor and lost their fifth game in a row.
Freshman Sean Johnson came off the bench and had a team-high 15 points and 11 rebounds for Clark (8-11, 1-6 NWAC South). Union High grad Ethan Smith scored 10 points off the bench.
None of the Clark starters reached double figures in scoring against the Titans (11-7, 2-5).
WOMEN: LANE 82, AT CLARK 42 — Jodi Thomasian and Alexus Hunter each scored 10 points for the Penguins (4-13, 0-7) against No. 3-ranked Lane (16-4, 5-2).
Clark was held to 22 percent shooting from the floor in dropping its ninth game in a row.
