As a bedroom community for Portland, Ridgefield has always had a lack of commercial tax revenue. With growth there is hope this tax class can eventually relieve homeowners. While we wait, children are here, more are coming and infrastructure is needed to provide basic education. Increased housing-related expense is a burden for many of us. We also understand the bond is the one tax we can vote against, but then our little ones pay the price. If we have to tighten our belts for Ridgefield children to thrive, we see no downside. What better investment could we possibly make? Vote yes!
