Evergreen Public School will host a graduation ceremony for the class of 2020 on Aug. 5.

The ceremonies will be conducted as a series of drive-up events at McKenzie Stadium. Though the district had hoped to host a more traditional celebration, restrictions on in-person gatherings make doing so impossible, according to a news release.

Students and their families will queue up in their vehicles, accessing McKenzie via the road that runs between Evergreen High School and Cascade Middle School off N.E. 18th St., according to the news release. Schools will each have their own scheduled time. Graduates will be asked to step out of their cars one-by-one, then walk across a stage and pose for photos. The event will be livestreamed.
