Letter: Let protesters have their say

I think the protesters in Portland should be allowed to continue to freely express their frustration with Portland’s ineffective governing and racist programs, as long as they only destroy property and not hurt anyone … too badly. The protesters will eventually get tired (or run out of targets) and leave. Portland police can’t keep trying to stop them as that only antagonizes them, making them more angry and determined. That may also prevent the protesters from coming to Vancouver … maybe?
