Dog Owners Group for Park Access Washington, commonly called DOGPAW, continues its monthly park cleanup program at 10 a.m. Aug. 1 at Lucky Dog Park, 10100 N.E. 149th St., Brush Prairie. The organization invites members and other users of the organization’s off-leash dog parks to help clean up one of its parks on the first Saturday of each month. Volunteers meet rain or shine to maintain trails and undertake special projects. Bring work gloves and yard tools. Future cleanups are set for Sept. 5 at Dakota and Oct. 3 at Kane. For more information contact volunteer@dogpawoffleashparks.org, or visit dogpawoffleashparks.org.

Meals on Wheels People asks for donations of new or gently-used fans to help keep homebound seniors cool as summer temperatures rise. Fans can be brought to Meals on Wheels People Central Office at 7710 S.W. 31st Ave. in Portland between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Some neighborhood dining centers may also be open to accept fan donations. Please check locations on our website at mowp.org and call for available hours.
