Letter: Herrera Beutler supports health care

Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler, R-Battle Ground, has been a champion for more affordable and higher-quality health care. The Children’s Hospital Association awarded her the “Champion of Children’s Health” for securing legislation in 2019 to help more low-income sick children access medical services. She’s introduced the Continuing Coverage for Preexisting Conditions Act and has consistently stated she wants citizens’ current health plans protected.

We have one of the leading champions for better health care in Congress in Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler. It would be a true loss for our region if her compassion, record and results were obscured by campaign-year antics.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
