Four new COVID-19 cases confirmed in Clark CountyFree

Clark County Public Health confirmed four new COVID-19 cases Wednesday afternoon, as the county continues to level off with new cases after a 32-case spike reported Monday.

Following Monday’s rise in cases, there were two new cases reported Tuesday. The county also subtracted two cases today because the people live outside Clark County. Public Health has confirmed 607 total cases and 28 deaths in Clark County. At least 12,780 people have been tested.

There are still 132 cases connected to the Firestone Pacific Foods outbreak in Vancouver. Another 21 cases have been connected to an outbreak at Pacific Crest Building Supply in Ridgefield, but only 14 of those reside in Clark County. One of Wednesday’s new cases for Clark County is an employee at Pacific Crest.

The cabinet manufacturer has seen 80 of its employees test negative for coronavirus, with 50 employees still awaiting testing and test results, according to Public Health.

Two people are hospitalized for COVID-19 in Clark County, and 58 percent of licensed county hospital beds are occupied, with 1.5 percent of beds occupied by coronavirus patients.

Washington has 24,354 confirmed cases and 3,747 deaths, according to state Department of Health statistics. More than 415,000 people have been tested for the virus.

On Monday, there were at least 238 COVID-19 patients hospitalized and 92 patients on breathing devices statewide, according to the department of health.
