Letter: Cartoon in poor taste

I found your choice of editorial cartoon on June 3 to be in poor taste. Why choose a cartoon focused on the few looters causing havoc versus the many peaceful protesters and organizers coming together all across our country and world to shine light on the serious and systemic problems of racism? This cartoon choice lacked the very sensitivity we need in our community and around the world.

Why not focus instead on the message of solidarity and equality as people around the world gather in protest after George Floyd’s death?

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
