The National Weather Service confirmed that a funnel cloud that swept through Clackamas County near Damascus on Saturday evening was a tornado.

The storm was rated EF0, the weakest classification of tornado, with winds of up to 75 mph. It traveled just over two miles in 11 minutes before dissipating.

No one was hurt. The only property damage occurred when a large poplar tree was uprooted from “very wet soil,” the weather service said, and fell onto three parked cars.

The weather service based its determinations on videos, photos or other accounts of the storm from people who saw it.
