Many thanks to the Vancouver City Council members for passing the six-month moratorium on new coal, oil and fracked gas facilities. This is a significant step towards transitioning away from a fossil fuel extraction and infrastructure economy and moving towards a clean, green renewable energy economy. This transition isn’t going to happen overnight but it’s one that we must make if we’re going to have a sustainable and livable planet for our future generations. And, remember, there are up to four times more family wage jobs in renewable energy than there are in fossil fuels. What’s not to like about the moratorium? Thanks again.
