Letter: Democrats self-destruct

By David Hinshaw, Vancouver

It’s not surprising that the Democrats are wringing their hands in despair over their inability to field a viable challenger to President Donald Trump in the 2020 election. Trump has accomplished more for America in three years than Obama did in eight, and they know it. It’s been interesting to watch them self-destruct.

Any clear-thinking citizen should be able to see that socialism will put this country on a downward spiral to oblivion. In contrast, capitalism has done more to improve the lives of people worldwide than any economic system ever devised. Long live the Constitution!

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
