Letter: Ignore lies, seek out truth

By Terry E. Viertel, Vancouver

Here are several ways to help get through this COVID-19 pandemic:

1. Don’t listen to Donald Trump; he is an inveterate liar and has been lying about this outbreak from day one and continues to this day.

2. Don’t listen to anyone else in his administration, they parrot the same lies and their incompetence will make this much worse.

3 Don’t listen to Fox News, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, or any other right wing radio or TV outlets. Where do you think Donald Trump gets all the lies he spews out?

4. Do listen to your local county, city, or state health departments. They are on the front lines of this outbreak and will have good advice on what to do to get through this mess.

5. Finally, do listen to Dr. Anthony Fauci. He is the only one at Trump’s press briefings who has any idea what the truth is.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
