Letter: Information needed from county

The Clark County councilors have remained silent on the coronavirus issues facing their citizens. A pandemic is a frighting event to many and a devastating one to those families losing love ones to the virus. I have seen only one letter from the council (Councilor Temple Lentz) trying to reassure the community dealing with uncertain issues surrounding the pandemic.

Information on how the county is dealing with the pandemic is missing. Provide us with that information. What is happening in the county, what are the plans to deal with the virus, plans on how we are going forward, what are the difficulties we are having with the virus? Sure there are federal and state orders, but how are these related to this county and how are we working those orders to meet our needs? We need information, not silence.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
