A man and a woman were found dead in a home north of Battle Ground on Sunday.

Clark County Sheriff’s Sgt. Tim Bieber said the deaths are being investigated as a murder-suicide.

Identification of the deceased and the home’s address were being withheld pending notification of family members.

Emergency responders, including the Clark County Sheriff’s Office and North Country Emergency Medical Services, were dispatched to the 13600 block of N.E. 319th Street shortly before 1:30 p.m. on Sunday.

There, emergency crews found the two dead. The woman appeared to have suffered multiple gunshot wounds while the man appeared to have a single self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Bieber said all indications are that the deaths occurred earlier Sunday.

The case is being investigated by the sheriff office’s Major Crimes Unit.
