Letter: Social distance these politicians

By Gale Beagle, Vancouver
Published: May 15, 2020, 6:00am

We now have Trump Republicans U.S. Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler, R-Battle Ground, state Rep. Vicki Kraft, R-Vancouver, and Clark County Council Chair Eileen Quiring thinking they know more than the Clark County Public Health Officer Dr. Alan Melnick and our Gov. Inslee. They seem unwilling to follow leading medical advice. Then we have our Mayor Anne McEnerny-Ogle listening to them. Why isn’t she checking with our other representatives and listening to our medical professionals? We are in trouble if these are the so-called experts our mayor is listening to. Social distancing is working.

Please do not let these public officials mess this up.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
