The Vancouver Police Department says three businesses on Northeast Fourth Plain Boulevard had their windows damaged last week.

An unknown suspect or suspects fired a pellet gun into large windows at Grocery Outlet, 5800 N.E. Fourth Plain Blvd., Sea Mar, 6100 N.E. Fourth Plain Blvd., and Don Pedro, 5900 N.E. Fourth Plain Blvd., between 9:30 p.m. Wednesday and 4:20 a.m. Thursday, police department spokeswoman Kim Kapp said in an email.

“Only the windows were damaged, and there were no indications that the suspect(s) entered any of the businesses,” Kapp said.

The police department’s crime data shows incidents of vandalism increased about 24 percent from the start of the statewide stay-at-home order to late April. The reports of vandalism are contributing to the rise in reported property crimes, police said.
