Interim Clark County Manager Kathleen Otto could retain her position for at least another year.

Her contract was extended through May 31, 2021, according to a county news release. She has served in the interim role since March after then-County Manager Shawn Henessee resigned.

Otto has previous experience with the county as a deputy county manager, director of internal services and director of human resources.

In the news release Tuesday, Clark County Council Chair Eileen Quiring lauded Otto’s handling of the county’s COVID-19 outbreak response.
