Letter: Remember COVID victims

By Greg Henderson, Vancouver
Published: May 24, 2020, 6:00am

I read that Annie Glenn died recently of complications from COVID-19. A fellow Ohioan, I know her story well; widow of my boyhood hero, advocate for the disadvantaged, and a brave woman who passed at 100. Flags in Ohio fly at half-staff for her this week.

I know the stories of other “celebrity” COVID cases, but I realized I don’t know anything about my Clark County neighbors who have fallen from this scourge. They deserve our respect and remembrance. They have names and loved ones who grieve while society rushes to reopen. Who are they? What are their stories? Can’t we take a moment to honor our fallen?

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
