Letter: Keep out undesirables

By Peter Brubaker, Vancouver

I know we are itching to get this county going again, but hold on! I think we need to wait for Multnomah County in Oregon to open, so as to keep a gaggle of young Portlanders from disobeying our rules just to get away from their confinement. The other choice is to card people and only allow those with local addresses to enter. It may sound harsh and restrictive, but we must take baby steps. How about that coming from a libertarian?

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
