Letter: Maybe we need idiot controls

“Making us wear masks is unconstitutional.” Idiots. Trump hails the protesters. Idiots. Chief idiot of the idiots. There is no point in arguing or trying to reason with them. Idiots. I wish sane people would stop fueling the fire. Really — ignore them. Just follow the rules yourself, patronize only those places that do same and when you see idiots, just look at them like they are: idiots. When someone starts talking about Trump, say “I don’t want to hear about that idiot.” Write to your TV and streaming providers and tell them you want them to block Trump and other idiots just like they can block profanity and nudity. Tell them we need idiot controls.

Tell people who bash Trump on Twitter, “Stop talking about that idiot. He isn’t worth your time and effort.” Don’t you think he’ll wither and die if we stop feeding him? Let’s see how long it takes. Could you just do it for a week? Hell, we’ve sheltered in place for a couple of months; can we not talk about Trump for a week? Would he just get crazier and crazier? Would there come a point where Republicans would actually decide he needs to be stopped?
