La Center residents have an opportunity to join the La Center City Council.
The city is accepting applications for an unexpired term. The term expires Dec. 31, 2021.
The five-member council meets on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month. Applicants must also be U.S. citizens, registered voters and residents of the city for at least one year prior to the appointment.
Applications, which can be found on the city website, and letters of interest are due 5 p.m. Nov. 18.
The city council will then review applications, conduct interviews with finalists and make a selection at a Dec. 16 meeting.
