Letter: U.S. can’t pay for debt

By Bill Kelley, Yacolt

The national debt increase hit $3.1 trillion this year. Thank you Republicans for your “fiscal conservativeness.” Not!

Remember Dick Cheney “deficits don’t matter”? Well not to him, he won’t get the bill and will continue his life on the governmental trough. Republicans have outspent Democrats continually using red ink to finance America all the while claiming the high ground of no taxes. Simple: claim tax cuts, use red ink, look good to the fools who vote for them, and leave the bill for America’s children. Reagan tax cuts were red ink. Bush tax cuts, red ink. Trump tax cuts, red ink. None paid for themselves as the Republican phoney narrative states, and they never will.

This red ink comes from China; you know, the China that Trump attacks continually. He’s going to look even more stupid than he is when the Chinese call in the bill. Get ready Wall Street, you of all people should know what happens when someone doesn’t pay his credit card bill; you’ve screwed enough people over with that. America won’t have the money to bail you out again.
