Police respond to bank robbery in central Vancouver

Police are investigating a bank robbery Tuesday afternoon in central Vancouver.

Officers were dispatched at 12:39 p.m. to Riverview Community Bank, 915 MacArthur Blvd., for a report of a robbery.

A man entered the bank and presented a note to a teller, who handed over an undisclosed amount of money before the suspect fled on foot, Vancouver Police Department spokeswoman Kim Kapp said.

Police are asking for help in identifying the suspect. He is described as being white, 5-feet-6-inches tall and around 35 years old.
