The Washington State Patrol has identified a pedestrian who was injured Nov. 17 when he was struck by a car while attempting to walk across Interstate 205 in Vancouver, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Troopers said in an updated crash memo that Dion J. Armstrong, a 26-year-old Vancouver resident, was taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center for treatment of unspecified injuries. An update about Armstrong’s condition was not immediately available.

The incident occurred at 2:25 p.m. in the freeway’s northbound lanes near Milepost 28, according to a State Patrol bulletin. It said Armstrong was walking from the right shoulder to the left and was struck by a 2017 Subaru Forester driven by Jose L. Arambula, 50, of Vancouver.

Arambula was not injured, though his Subaru was totaled, according to the State Patrol.
