Letter: Support Harris in 17th District

By Megan Dudley, Ridgefield
Published: October 1, 2020, 6:00am

The Ridgefield Community Group has the pleasure of endorsing Tanisha Harris for 17th Legislative District representative.

After hosting a virtual meeting, we were impressed with her commitment to science and public health. She understands the difficulties of school overcrowding with her work on the Evergreen Citizens for Schools and would join with partners across the aisle to change bond passage from a supermajority to a simple majority. We appreciated her open-door policy and pledge to represent everyone in the 17th, not just those who agree with her. She is an excellent candidate.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
