Once again our community has shown how generous we are with our time, talent and treasures. The recent GiveMore24! effort set an all-time record in giving, smashing its goal of $2 million in charity. To many small nonprofits, in this time of the pandemic, this will mean the difference between being able to stay open and having to close.

As we continue to read, view and listen to all of the bad news, let’s reflect on how good we can be when we come together and unite for a cause and reach out to help others in need.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
