Letter: Assess Herrera Beutler’s votes

By Susan Silvera, Vancouver

I hope everyone is following the Washington, D.C., Roll Call every Sunday in section C. If you read it on a regular basis, it is obvious that a vote for Carolyn Long is the right one. The latest issue showed that Herrera Beutler voted against a resolution to condemn unnecessary surgical procedures on immigrant women, and against a coronavirus relief bill which would restore the $600 per week jobless benefits. I urge you to look back over the last few months or longer at this important column.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
