AMBOY — The Mount St. Helens Institute raised $4,760 during Give More 24! “The generous gifts we received during Give More 24! are important in helping us continue our mission of connecting student learning with science, the outdoors and public land,” said Emily Whalen, development coordinator at the institute. Because in-person programming is restricted due to COVID-19, the organization is adapting and creating STEM lessons for educators to bring the volcano to more students learning at home. “These donations will help empower more students from across the Pacific Northwest to study science and help teachers to connect student learning with our world-famous mountain,” Whalen said.
