Letter: Choose Tanisha Harris in 17th

By Robert Cozzi, Washougal

I’m voting for Tanisha Harris, 17th District candidate for House of Representatives. Harris gets my vote, as I am an educator and parent of a school-age child, and she has been a courageous advocate for children. I respect Harris as she has been a tireless leader in our community, providing a voice for the voiceless. Too often we leave our civic duties to others. Minimally it is our responsibility to educate ourselves on the candidates we send to Olympia. No longer do I want to be embarrassed by our lack of representation of good voices in the 17th. Harris will be a fresh, respectful champion for all.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
