In answer to Mr. Jedidi’s letter, “Not everybody can wear a mask,” I agree wholeheartedly with this hero; and thank you so much for your service, sir!
Have we learned nothing from the Vietnam War? We should be treating every service member, past and present, who served America and Americans, with utmost respect and gratitude. They are the reasons we still have this great nation.
And he’s absolutely correct. Not everyone can wear a mask. Please, folks, back off of those not wearing one. You do not know their story. This virus and the ensuing hysteria is enough hell to experience for anyone. Folks don’t need the added misery of getting yelled at by strangers.
Those who would call out a mask-less person, make sure you’re not demoralizing someone with any physical or mental condition that may not be obvious. Make sure you’re not dressing down a veteran with PTSD. Stay six feet away from those without one and we’ll all be a lot happier.
Kind of ironic that every time I have seen one verbally assault an unmasked person, they get up in the unmasked person’s face. Makes it appear they aren’t actually concerned about the virus.
