Letter: Enough is enough

Am I the only one to see the irony of a man being eulogized after he is fatally shot during a riot in downtown Portland? The suspect for his killing is then shot by police officers in the Tacoma area — all this being done in the name of Black Lives Matter. At this point we must admit that the whole concept of any of this mattering is out the door and those who choose to kill or die have become irrelevant, not to say beyond stupid.

Clearly nobody’s lives matter anymore on the front lines of the demonstrations; no principles are at stake, no new land is being plowed and seeded for peace. We have entered the no man’s land of kill or be killed and it has to stop. A 17-year-old walks the streets of Kenosha, shooting people. He is honored by our president and he manages to raise over $300,000 from his admirers.

Had enough? I have. Take a gun to a demonstration, you either go to jail or become prey for others.
