Letter: Support Harris in 17th District

By Elizabeth Stehle Campbell, Vancouver
Published: September 22, 2020, 6:00am

The 17th Legislative District needs representatives in the Statehouse who work effectively with all their colleagues. Tanisha Harris has shown this ability through her supervisory work in CASA, her court advocacy for children in foster care, her efforts for the Evergreen Public Schools bond and levy measures, and her positions on multiple boards and committees.

Her opponent, according to Vote Smart, has voted “No” on every single significant piece of legislation presented in Washington’s 2020 legislative session. This unproductive obstinacy accomplishes nothing for the citizens of her district.

Elect Tanisha Harris to powerfully and competently represent the people of the 17th Legislative District.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
