The Clark County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office on Friday shared an online slideshow in recognition of the annual National Day of Remembrance for Homicide Victims.

The slideshow can be viewed with the names and photos of Clark County homicide victims from this year and previous years, dating back to 1974.

It was put together in lieu of the usual ceremony held at the Clark County Public Service Center due to COVID-19.

There are 11 homicide victims from 2020 included in the slideshow: Thomas Sawyer (Sept. 2), Mark Holm (Aug. 19), Maja Lance Partida (Aug. 11), Lajeune Gay (May 29), William Miller (April 29), Ciara Collins (April 24), Dayton Miller, (March 16), Donald Robinson (March 16), Trevonta Burks (Feb. 4), Margarito Alejopable (Feb. 2) and Aristeo Alejopable (Feb. 2). The program shows there were 15 homicide victims last year.

Clark County Prosecutor Tony Golik wrote in a letter that the yearly gathering is meant to support the families of the victims, “the survivors.”

“This year, we gather remotely, but our hearts gather in the same way we have in years past. I can see many of your faces in my mind. Perhaps I will see you on this day (National Day of Remembrance for Homicide Victims, Sept. 25) next year,” Golik said.
