Staff at the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site are seeking public input on a draft plan to improve accessibility at the park.

Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, a team of park staffers canvassed the site and identified barriers to accessibility, as well as a strategy to modify or remove them.

Fort staff will also be reaching out to local accessibility-focused organizations to seek more input on the draft plan, according to a media release from the National Park Service.

The public is invited to comment through the park’s planning, environment and public comment website starting on Oct. 1 and ending Oct. 31. The details of the plan, as well as the comment page, can be found at https://parkplanning.nps.gov/projectHome.cfm?projectID=97132.
