Letter: Support Herrera Beutler, Trump

I truly wish people could separate the individual candidates from the shadow of President Trump.

If elected, Carolyn Long will be the very junior representative from our 3rd District. She will be in a position to vote the party line as told.

It will take her quite a few terms to become effective.

It has taken Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler, R-Battle Ground, many terms to work across party lines. Getting bills passed that help her district. Like all politicians she at times has to vote the “party” line whether or not she agrees.

If Ms. Long is elected, she will find that out in a hurry. I will vote for Jaime and Trump, not the man, but for the things he has done for this country along with the party.
