Letter: Stop anti-democratic onslaught

By James Ault, Vancouver

There is another pandemic infecting this country and it has the potential of being much more deadly. Critical Race Theory is a cancer affecting businesses, media, entertainment and, particularly, schools. This theory postulates that the totality of our existence is based on the color of our skin; no accounting for individual characteristics or behavior. All majority constituents are evil oppressors while minorities are victims and can never be racist.

Grade school students are now being taught, based on their skin color, to hate or distrust each other and even themselves. This ideology actually creates racism in children where it doesn’t exist. Integration, one of the major gains of the civil rights movement, has reverted back into segregation with universities encouraging race-based housing, scholarships and graduation ceremonies.

This Marxist, anti-democratic, racially divisive onslaught must be stopped.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
