Interstate 5 crash near Woodland shuts down two lanes

Firefighters had to extricate a person trapped in a truck after a collision with a semitruck northbound on Interstate 5 south of Woodland on Monday evening, according to radio scanner traffic monitored at The Columbian.

The crash, which happened at about 4:02 p.m., involved a semitruck, possibly carrying logs. It shut down two lanes of traffic as of 4:23 p.m., and traffic was backing up beyond the Northwest La Center Road interchange.

The person trapped in the truck appears to be uninjured, according to the scanner traffic.
