Prep highlights: Meyer strikes out 13 as Battle Ground softball remains unbeaten

Mallory Meyer struck out 13 in a five-hit shutout as the Battle Ground softball team remained unbeaten with a 4-0 win over Heritage.

Rylee Rehbein had a three-run double in a four-run fifth inning for the Tigers.

Cayleigh White went 2 for 3 for Heritage.

Stars of the day

• Max Fraser, Camas baseball, pitched four innings of three-hit ball with eight strikeouts and had an RBI double in the Papermakers’ 8-1 win over Union.

• Ashley Griffith, Union softball, went 2 for 2 with a double, home run, three RBI and two runs scored in an 8-2 win at Camas.

• Alysia Fraly, Prairie softball, went 2 for 3 with a home run, two RBI and a run scored in a 3-1 win over Kelso.

• Mia Yanez and Aurora Wiley, Columbia River softball. Yanez went 4 for 5 with a double and three RBI, and Wiley was 3 for 3 with a double, home run and five RBI as the Rapids rallied for a 19-11 win at Washougal.

• Anna Gatlin, Prairie girls bowling, had a 630 series with games of 238, 205 and 187 in a win over Union.

• Annika Yeh, Mountain View girls golf, shot a 2-over-par 37 at Fairway Village for medalist honors in the match against Prairie.

• Paeton Lesser, Camas girls swimming, posted a region-best time in the 200 individual medley (2:16.25) as Camas won a meet against the Evergreen Public School teams.

• Campbell Deringer, Camas girls swimming, posted region-best time in the 100 breaststroke (1:09.33).
