Clark County Treasurer Alishia Topper was elected as president of the Washington State Association of County Treasurers. New officers were elected during a business meeting at its legislative conference in Ellensburg. The association exists to provide a forum for county treasurers across the state to support effective treasury-management systems.

In addition to the electing a new president, the state association also elected Thurston County Treasurer Jeff Gadman as vice president, Mason County Treasurer Lisa Frazier as secretary, and Cowlitz County Treasurer Debra Gardner as treasurer.

Danielle Chancey joined the executive committee at Furry Friends, a nonprofit no-kill cat shelter. Chancey will take on fundraising, secretarial and event duties. Other newly appointed members include Helen McCann, treasurer; Brandi Towner, vice president; and Jazmynn Hoffman, volunteer coordinator.

Tamara Shoup was hired as chief strategy officer for mission advancement at Boys & Girls Clubs of Southwest Washington. Most recently, Shoup was employed as executive director of school support services at Vancouver Public Schools. She holds a master’s degree in research administration and a bachelor’s degree in human development.
