Letter: Hyperloop is best for America

Trains are the past, hyperloop is the future. Hyperloop is a newly developing technology, basically a magnetic rail car inside a pressurized tunnel allowing speeds of 760 miles per hour. The system works similar to the interstate with on and off ramps.

On Aug. 10, Congress passed the Infrastructure and Jobs Act making hyperloop eligible for grants.

Hyperloop makes travel from Seattle to San Diego possible in two hours with zero CO2 emissions. The commute to Portland will take only minutes and not involve emissions. Adding stops in Camas, Washougal, Amboy and across Clark County will be simple.

Hyperloop is best for America, and the environment.
